Cavalry Terms of Service

Effective as of December 10, 2025

Welcome to Cavalry, an AI-powered community management platform designed to help organizations automate, moderate, and enhance their community and team engagement. By accessing or using Cavalry ("the Service"), you agree to the following Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Cavalry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

You must be:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Authorized to create an account on behalf of yourself or an organization.

By using the Service, you represent that the above is true.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of unauthorized access or breaches.

5. Subscription, Billing & Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription.

5.1 Billing

  • Fees are billed at the end of the subscription period.
  • Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

5.2 Free Trials

  • If provided, a free trial may convert automatically to a paid plan unless canceled before the trial ends.

5.3 Price Changes

  • We may change pricing with prior notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Cavalry to conduct illegal, harmful, or abusive activities.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
  • Upload harmful, discriminatory, or malicious content.
  • Use the Service in a manner that violates community platform policies (e.g., Slack, Discord, Facebook Groups).

You acknowledge that deletion on integrated platforms does not guarantee immediate removal from Cavalry's systems. For sensitive deletions, use the manual purge request process described in Section 7.1.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations.

7. User Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of the content you upload, but grant Cavalry a license to process the content to deliver the Service.

We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve platform performance.

7.1 Platform Synchronization & Data Retention

When you delete content on integrated platforms (e.g., Slack, Discord), Cavalry's system does not immediately synchronize this deletion across all of our services. Specifically:

  • Database: Deleted messages remain in our primary database until manually purged by our team upon request
  • Cache: Messages remain in temporary cache for up to 10 minutes after deletion on the source platform
  • AI Knowledge Base: Deleted messages may remain indexed in our AI systems until explicitly removed through manual purging

This means our AI features (Rich Context, sentiment analysis, automated responses) may temporarily access deleted content, even after you've removed it from the source platform.

Manual Deletion Process: If you delete content containing sensitive information (e.g., confidential business data, personal information), you may request immediate manual purging by contacting [email protected]. We will process manual purge requests within 10 business days of receipt.

Important: During the cache retention period (up to 10 minutes) and before manual purging is completed, deleted content may still influence AI-generated responses or appear in system analytics.

8. AI Limitations & Disclaimers

Cavalry uses AI models that may:

  • Make incorrect predictions.
  • Misinterpret community sentiment.
  • Produce output that requires human review.

You acknowledge that AI-generated content should be supervised and that you are responsible for the final decisions and actions taken using Cavalry.

9. Intellectual Property

Cavalry owns:

  • The platform
  • Software
  • Trademarks
  • Brand elements
  • Algorithms and AI models

Users may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

Cavalry integrates with third-party platforms. We are not responsible for their reliability, policies, or outages.

Data synchronization between Cavalry and Third-Party Platforms is asynchronous and may be delayed. See Section 7.1 for data retention policies related to deleted content.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Breach these Terms
  • Abuse the Service
  • Fail to pay subscription fees

You may terminate your account at any time through your dashboard.

Upon termination, access to the platform will cease.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cavalry is not liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Business interruptions
  • AI misinterpretations
  • Damages resulting from reliance on the Service
  • Access to deleted messages during synchronization delays or cache retention periods

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Cavalry harmless from all claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from:

  • Misuse of the Service
  • Violations of these Terms

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, your place of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you agree that: (i) you have full legal authority to bind the Entity to these Terms, and (ii) all references to "you" and "your" in these Terms will refer to that Entity, unless we indicate otherwise.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Cavalry after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
